Inout article base ultimate is a very good article directory script, you can customize it with ease. It is optimized on templates, so you can easily boost traffic to your site.
The most important thing is; when you need support you got it! I would say that Inout scripts have the best support online, because they made me a lot of customizations (I still got felling that I’m annoying) and they do it without any problem.

When we first started using Article Base Ultimate, one of the things we wanted to do was to be able to upload text files and PDF documents as well as images. That way our members would be able to view documents and download them. When we asked if the staff could do this, they said "Sure!" and for a very reasonable amount. Within days the customization was completed and they were also willing to make sure everything worked perfectly before we marked the project as completed. We are very happy with the work and are now having other custom work being done to make our database even better.

A very good looking article manager with many advanced features as standard. The only drawback seems to be with adding images to articles, unless you know HTML you may have problems because each image needs to be added as html code and then you add your text making it difficult for a novice to move the images around in the article text.
Apart from the above the script is well written, easy to navigate and easy to administer. Support from inoutscripts is second to none, they helped with the installation and are always on hand to provide advice.
